Meet Betty: A Bundle of Love Ready for Her Forever Home
Introducing Betty…..
Born in April 2022, Betty is currently in foster care in Cumbria, where she’s charming everyone with her affectionate personality.
Betty is a confident, affectionate little girl who lives for cuddles, belly rubs, and being the centre of attention. She adores playing with the toys Santa brought her and has quickly mastered house training, happily heading out to the garden or enjoying walks to keep herself clean.
She walks beautifully on the lead, unfazed by traffic noise, and recently had a blast feeling the sand between her toes on a beach trip. Though she’s still a bit wary of unfamiliar dogs, she’s playful and energetic with her younger foster sibling, dashing around the house in joyful chases. Betty also has a passion for TV—especially when Pete Wicks and his doggy programme are on!
A sound sleeper, she loves a treat or two before bed and balances social time with quiet moments on her own. Mealtime excites her so much that she’s currently using a slow feeder.
Important Notes for Potential Adopters
When Betty first arrived, she was wary of the two resident dogs and showed some snarling behaviour. She has since settled in beautifully, but if there are other dogs in her future home, it’s worth being aware of her initial reactions. Most importantly, Betty adores human companionship and will thrive in a home where someone is around most of the time.
Her Story
Betty’s past is as touching as her present is hopeful. She was found abandoned in a field, frightened and confused. But when her rescuer stopped to help, Betty jumped into her arms, as if saying, “Yes, please!”
