Meet Eric – Your Playful, Gentle Companion Ready for His Forever Home!

Let us introduce Eric.

Update 16/1

Eric is doing great in his foster home, but now he’s ready to find his forever family! He would thrive in a child-free, cat-free home with at least one other friendly, playful dog to keep him company. Always up for fun, Eric is super gentle and submissive. His new humans should be kind and patient to help him continue working through his fears, but also playful—he loves bouncing and running around with his foster family, which is a perfect way to bond with him.

He adores toys and treats but never gets protective or aggressive over them. Eric is fantastic in his crate, sleeping quietly through the night. A nice variety of chew toys and lots of family interaction will keep him a very happy pup!

Eric is now in his foster home in Essex. We couldn’t be more delighted. Please watch this space for updates and photos.

History

Eric is a 2-year-old Corgi cross with a heart full of potential. He and his brother were rescued from a kill shelter, but while his brother was quickly adopted to a loving home in Belgium, Eric has been left behind, spending over a year in a bleak shelter. Each day, he sits in a cell with no social interaction, stimulation, or chance for enrichment.

It’s heartbreaking to see how lonely he was. When he was let out of his cell, he was clearly afraid, and he urgently needed a way out of this place before he faded even further. Eric would thrive in an experienced dog home.

Please note, we are unable to consider for adoption for Eric:

  • People with children under 10 years old

  • Homes without direct access to a secure and private garden
