Meet Vella

Say hello to Vella!

Vella went into foster in Surrey on the 9th June 2025.

This little lady is an absolute darling! She’s always so excited to see her humans that her little stumpy tail wags like a helicopter propeller. 🐾

Vella is a happy, content soul who gets along wonderfully with both dogs and cats. She’s fully toilet trained and even asks to go outside when she needs to. She’s also used to walking on a lead and is an all-around really good girl.

We just adore her — and we know you will too. 💕

Her Story

Vella came from Scortaru, a village our volunteer works in. Locals believe her elderly owner passed away—and the family that inherited the property discarded her like she didn’t matter. Vella carries a scar from a burn on her nose (a tradition in Romania to prevent distemper).

• People under 25 years old

• People with children under 10 years old

• Homes without direct access to a private and secure garden

• Homes where the dog will have to be left alone more than 4 hours in a working day
